Decursive key benefits
Ease of use:
- Decursive supports all classes with cleansing abilities and configures itself automatically, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.
- Intuitive interface and detailed options, Decursive is suitable for simple usage and power users.
Control what and who you want to dispel:
- Easily Filter out afflictions you don't want to cure or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured). (Such as afflictions affecting mana on non-mana classes, etc...).
- Choose between what you can dispel (magic, curses, poison, diseases, charms) choosing their priority. (this allows you to share the cleansing work with other players effectively)
- Prioritize or exclude members. (keep players, classes, or raid groups in a specific order to cleanse them in order of importance)
Manage Mind controlled units:
- If you are a Mage, a Druid or a Shaman you can Polymorph/Cyclone/Hex mind-controlled players.
- In any case Decursive will allow you to target mind controlled units easily.
- Decursive supports magic charming affect removal for Shamans (Purge and Hex), Priests (Dispel Magic), Hunters (Tranquilizing Shot), and Warlocks (Fellhunter and Doomguards spells).
Don't waste time:
- Your cleansing spell Cooldown is displayed to maximize your dispel speed.
- An automatic blacklist will prevent you from loosing time on players who can't be dispelled. (player 'out of line of sight' for example).
- Decursive choose a logical cleansing order depending on your current position in the raid. (preventing dispel concurrence between players and thus 'nothing to dispel' messages)
React faster:
- Visual and/or auditive alerts when someone needs your attention and can be dispelled.
- Special sound alert when Unstable Affliction is detected and you're about to dispel it.
- Visual and auditive alert when your dispel attempts are resisted or fail.
Integration in any interface:
- Decursive is designed to save screen real estate and to be forgotten when not needed.
- Many options allow you to customize Decursive appearance and interface behavior.
- All Decursive alert colors can be modified making it suitable for color-blind people.
Highly optimized and effective coding:
- Decursive was developed with memory and CPU usage in mind, installing Decursive won't affect your frame rate even in the worst battle conditions.
- Bug free: bugs are not tolerated in Decursive.
In brief, what you get with Decursive is effectiveness, a player using Decursive will always dispel faster than other players.

Decursive is dedicated to the memory of Bertrand Sense known as Glorfindal on the European server Les Sentinelles. He was the raid leader of my guild (Horizon)

I don't know how to program, so I tried what Topiland did.. but I got lotsa errors.. would appreciate someone posting a new decursive with the changes so decursive works. :] thanks!
@Terra Branford:
I cannot reproduce this issue, I have no dead spot on my screen... If I click just beneath "Decursive" bar I click on the world and can select/move etc... if I hide "Decursive" and click just where it was, I can click on the world too.
Anyway, Decursive just hides frames... there is no other way to hide a frame than to hide it... So if you have dead spots then your UI has been messed up by something and there is nothing I can do.
@bolocos:
yes but it would cause other problems since Decursive would need to change your target...
But Auto self cast is a very annoying option in fact...You can't cast unless you select your target. But there is a key binding available to enable/disable this so you can use it from time to time.
Is it possible to make decursive work with auto self cast turned on? Since I plan not to use Telo's self cast mod, we will not be able to self bandage etc. when disabling this option.
I'm getting an aggravating problem that CTRaidAssist once had - a spot on the screen that is just completely dead to mouse clicking at all.
In the case of the current decursive in 1.12, if you hide the main Decursive Active List window (the one that shows you the top ten cursed players by default and is shown with /dcrshow), that very spot becomes unusable for mouse clicks. Unhide the DCRS List "window" (the one that just says "Decursive" in it), move it around, hide it and repeat process. Unusable spot.
I'm reverting to the old decursive I had in 1.11 and just making sure self cast is off in raids. I can't have dead spots when I'm trying to move quickly to deal with mob targets in raids.
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know of a potentially troublesome problem.
And yes, I tried this with ONLY Decursive enabled to rule out interference with other mods.
Logical German translation (not just word by word):
DCR_DISABLE_AUTOSELFCAST = "Die Decursive-Einstellung \"%s\" ist aktiv.\n\nDecursive kann, solange das der Fall ist, keine Reinigung vornehmen.\n\nSoll diese Einstellung deaktiviert werden?";
Keep up the good work, I love the addon! :-)
Ok I fixed the problems in my version, now Decursive displays a warning when the AutoSelfCast option is active and propose to disable it.
I just need German and Chinese localization for this string:
DCR_DISABLE_AUTOSELFCAST = "Decursive found that the option \"%s\" is enabled.\n\nDecursive won't be able to decurse while this option is active.\n\nDo you want to disable it?";
yes, the problem is the auto self-cast. If you put this on, decursive will not work properly. If you turn it off it will work properly, simple as that. =)
auto self-cast confirmed, wasn't working with it enabled, working now :)
I identified the problem about the error in the BG: it's when you're casting Mind Vision on a player from another server. (it's fixed on my version I think)
@inzilbeth:
you're probably right... I didn't think about that :/ Continue your tests and tell me if it's onfirmed.
Im having the same issue as rnucci...I havent had a chance to test this yet, but think it might have something to do with the new option from Blizzard to auto self-cast. I know I have this enabled, so I plan to disable it and see if that fixes the issue. My thinking is that when I have no target, the auto self-cast may be disrupting decursive and thinking im trying to decurse myself...thus the nothing to dispell text.
Decursive finds and shows curses in the correct way, but when i click on the char name, then "nothing to decurse" message pops up and the curse is still there. I think it can be related to buff/debuff icons not working properlu on party members icons (this problem also arose after patch)
Any suggestion?
Thanks for the great addon
Looks like Mind vision causes this 951 bug
I am getting the same 951 error message. It appears to be happening randomly. However, it might have something to do with the new cross-server BG grouping system. I noticed I would only get the error when I joined as group and then was placed into the pre-made group upon entering the BG. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
I think I got the same bug. I got this error about 2-3 times in the BGs. But only when I got a little lag because of too many people attacking me or something like that. 10 or more people doing much action -> I sometimes got this error message. Don´t know what spell it was or if it was the big number of people casting spells and doing much, but only there i got this error message.
but great addon, really love it
sorry for my bad English
do you remember the name of the unit/player you were dispelling?
Can you try to mind vision some one again, and tell me what happens?
decursive.lua:951 bad argument #4 to 'gsub' (number expected, got string)
i think it happened while i was mind visioning someone, not sure
I just tested it and the message displays fine in the window now. Thanks for the quick fix!
yep thanks :) Now I discovered that Tuhljin problem (no message in custom frame) is in fact a bug, a font issue.
So again, re-download Decursive at:
http://www.2072productions.com/?to=decursive.php
and tell me if decursive messages are properly displayed in the anchored message frame (when the option: "Print messages in the window" is checked)
thanks.
