Decursive key benefits
Ease of use:
- Decursive supports all classes with cleansing abilities and configures itself automatically, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.
- Intuitive interface and detailed options, Decursive is suitable for simple usage and power users.
Control what and who you want to dispel:
- Easily Filter out afflictions you don't want to cure or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured). (Such as afflictions affecting mana on non-mana classes, etc...).
- Choose between what you can dispel (magic, curses, poison, diseases, charms) choosing their priority. (this allows you to share the cleansing work with other players effectively)
- Prioritize or exclude members. (keep players, classes, or raid groups in a specific order to cleanse them in order of importance)
Manage Mind controlled units:
- If you are a Mage, a Druid or a Shaman you can Polymorph/Cyclone/Hex mind-controlled players.
- In any case Decursive will allow you to target mind controlled units easily.
- Decursive supports magic charming affect removal for Shamans (Purge and Hex), Priests (Dispel Magic), Hunters (Tranquilizing Shot), and Warlocks (Fellhunter and Doomguards spells).
Don't waste time:
- Your cleansing spell Cooldown is displayed to maximize your dispel speed.
- An automatic blacklist will prevent you from loosing time on players who can't be dispelled. (player 'out of line of sight' for example).
- Decursive choose a logical cleansing order depending on your current position in the raid. (preventing dispel concurrence between players and thus 'nothing to dispel' messages)
React faster:
- Visual and/or auditive alerts when someone needs your attention and can be dispelled.
- Special sound alert when Unstable Affliction is detected and you're about to dispel it.
- Visual and auditive alert when your dispel attempts are resisted or fail.
Integration in any interface:
- Decursive is designed to save screen real estate and to be forgotten when not needed.
- Many options allow you to customize Decursive appearance and interface behavior.
- All Decursive alert colors can be modified making it suitable for color-blind people.
Highly optimized and effective coding:
- Decursive was developed with memory and CPU usage in mind, installing Decursive won't affect your frame rate even in the worst battle conditions.
- Bug free: bugs are not tolerated in Decursive.
In brief, what you get with Decursive is effectiveness, a player using Decursive will always dispel faster than other players.

Decursive is dedicated to the memory of Bertrand Sense known as Glorfindal on the European server Les Sentinelles. He was the raid leader of my guild (Horizon)

yes, the problem is the auto self-cast. If you put this on, decursive will not work properly. If you turn it off it will work properly, simple as that. =)
auto self-cast confirmed, wasn't working with it enabled, working now :)
I identified the problem about the error in the BG: it's when you're casting Mind Vision on a player from another server. (it's fixed on my version I think)
@inzilbeth:
you're probably right... I didn't think about that :/ Continue your tests and tell me if it's onfirmed.
Im having the same issue as rnucci...I havent had a chance to test this yet, but think it might have something to do with the new option from Blizzard to auto self-cast. I know I have this enabled, so I plan to disable it and see if that fixes the issue. My thinking is that when I have no target, the auto self-cast may be disrupting decursive and thinking im trying to decurse myself...thus the nothing to dispell text.
Decursive finds and shows curses in the correct way, but when i click on the char name, then "nothing to decurse" message pops up and the curse is still there. I think it can be related to buff/debuff icons not working properlu on party members icons (this problem also arose after patch)
Any suggestion?
Thanks for the great addon
Looks like Mind vision causes this 951 bug
I am getting the same 951 error message. It appears to be happening randomly. However, it might have something to do with the new cross-server BG grouping system. I noticed I would only get the error when I joined as group and then was placed into the pre-made group upon entering the BG. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
I think I got the same bug. I got this error about 2-3 times in the BGs. But only when I got a little lag because of too many people attacking me or something like that. 10 or more people doing much action -> I sometimes got this error message. Don´t know what spell it was or if it was the big number of people casting spells and doing much, but only there i got this error message.
but great addon, really love it
sorry for my bad English
do you remember the name of the unit/player you were dispelling?
Can you try to mind vision some one again, and tell me what happens?
decursive.lua:951 bad argument #4 to 'gsub' (number expected, got string)
i think it happened while i was mind visioning someone, not sure
I just tested it and the message displays fine in the window now. Thanks for the quick fix!
yep thanks :) Now I discovered that Tuhljin problem (no message in custom frame) is in fact a bug, a font issue.
So again, re-download Decursive at:
http://www.2072productions.com/?to=decursive.php
and tell me if decursive messages are properly displayed in the anchored message frame (when the option: "Print messages in the window" is checked)
thanks.
The version you've posted below (http://www.2072productions.com/?to=decursive.php) has fixed the error I was getting (same one everyone else was reporting).
You rock, thank you.
the bug should be fixed, can someone please confirm, I cannot test anything, the european servers are down for patching...
download the new version there:
http://www.2072productions.com/?to=decursive.php
@Tuhljin:
Try clicking on the "A" in the top right corner of the option window and move the anchor and also click the ^ and V button next to "Anchor".
@ Those who have the lua error:
if you don't help me, since I CANNOT reproduce this bug, this bug won't be fixed... :/ so PLEASE DOWNLOAD DECURSIVE ON ITS WEBSITE:
http://www.2072productions.com/?to=decursive.php
and tell me if it's working or not. Thank you very much. (it's 4:20 AM in France)
Ah, I didn't see that. Or rather, I didn't understand that is what you meant by it. I'm trying it now. I must say I'm happy to see a lot of the improvements to positioning (which way the live-list and text-anchor messages display, etc.). I'm wondering though, when I hit the decurse key I have bound I don't get the "Nothing removed" message in the window, only in the chat log (unless I turn "Print messages in default chat" off). I have "Print messages in the window" enabled and also tried disabling it just in case.
if you are using 1.9.8 RC1, can you give me the content of the following file: \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\_YOUR_ACCOUNT_NAME_\_YOUR_SERVER_NAME_\_YOUR_CHARACTER_NAME_\SavedVariables\Decursive.lua it's the saved variable file for decursive, there is nothing private in it.
-
TO GET rid of this bug just uncheck the option "Print messages in default chat"@Tuhljin: LINE 31 of readme.txt:
/dcrshow ---> To show main Decursive window /dcrhide ---> To hide main Decursive window
Line 33 of WhatsNew.txt
- New command line and key binding: /dcrhide will hide Decursive window leaving the live-list visible
Something to say?
Same problem as Starwolf...
I've just downloaded the version you released today so I haven't tested that yet, and am currently unable to test it for a little while, but the notes don't indicate you've made this change. You keep saying "no list is shown" when there's nothing to decurse. Fine, no "list" is shown, but the little frame with the word "Decursive" (and version #, I believe), which you can move around by left-click-and-hold or lock-in-place/unlock with right-click is still there at all times unless you hide it (whether you use a keybinding or in another way). To me, unless I am moving the Decursive frame's position around or actually decursing myself or party/raid members, it is clutter on my screen and would like the option to have it automatically disappear and reappear.
Allowing for someone to click on a name among the list will automatically cast the "Remove Curse" spell to the affected member.
FOR THE THIRD TIME: you can already click on that **** list.
If no more names are on the list, the mod will simply hide the frame. Instead of hunting around for an assigned toggle key during a raid or Battleground this can free up my attention for other matters... very efficient.
FOR THE THIRD TIME: when there is nothing to decurse there is no list shown.
If right clicking the list brings up an options dialog, or whatever, I would like to have a feature where I can "lock" the list in place preventing the accidental dragging... most especially in the heat of the moment.
if you right click on "Decursive", it hides the buttons and it LOCKS the list.
Allowing for the Decursive list to be translucent can be very aesthetic and prevent me from having the view blocked from wherever I have the list placed on the screen, especially if the list hides and shows depending on conditions.
This may be available in the next version (depending on your ability to read README.TXT files)
