GatherMate2

Table of Contents

GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

Localization (Translation of Nodes)

GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:

Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.

GatherMate2_Data

GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.

Hello

Was Wondering If/When Gathermate2 /Gathermate2_Data Will have Archy data dumps? Or Can thata be some place where plp can upload data for archy data so it can be put together for better info for all ????

the addon doesn't farm it for you now does it. do you even know what a bot is? do some research hell even ask one of Blizzards staff this is in no way against the TOS, and is definitely not a bot lol sheesh. This addon directs in the path of nodes much like there ingame quest nodes it is very much the same exact thing except when you go to the node it may not be at the current area, it bassically gives you a path to take that is all. It will not get you banned I promise you.

I put in a ticket on wowace so maybe they'll notice it and add in the maplewood treasure chest in the next release.....we can hope anyway...right?

Yeah, I think they added them originally based on my suggestion some time back, and I neglected this one.

Hello,
In the GatherMate2-frFR.lua, you should replace

NL["Obsidian Chunk"] = "Morceau d'obsidienne"
NL["Obsidium Deposit"] = "Morceau d'obsidium"

by

NL["Obsidian Chunk"] = "Minerai d'obsidienne"
NL["Obsidium Deposit"] = "Gisement d'obsidium"

which actually works.

It's a conflict with Ackis Recipe List 2.2.3. I had the same issue and solved it by installing ARL 2.2.2 instead.

This is actually an issue with the newer AceGUI-3.0 that was included with some recent addon updates. A couple of 4.1 calls were placed in it. these calls don't work in 4.06. Ackis Recipe List 2.2.3 happens to be one of the addons that includes this broken lib. I fixed this by copying the AceGUI-3.0 folder from AddOns/Gathermate2/Libs, and pasting it in AddOns/AckisRecipeList/Libs. This overwrote the new (broken) AceGUI-3.0 with the latest un-broken version.

Gathermate has been giving me a little bit of a problem recently. The scroll down menu for filter will shoot to the middle of the scroll bar after I've selected something to filter in or out. I have to go back and double check to make sure I even checked the right box because it shoots me to the middle of the menu. It's really annoying.

I've also noticed that the skill levels required to gather such and such item are not the same as in game. For instance: in game I could gather Bruiseweed at skill level 80, but Gathermate is telling me I shouldn't be able to gather Bruiseweed until skill level 100.

The latest update of Gathermate2 doesnt let me import data from Gathermate2_data anymore. The field for importing is empty. Ive tried reinstalling, deleteing LUA files, installing old versions but nothing helps, Import remains broken.
