GatherMate2

Table of Contents

GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

Localization (Translation of Nodes)

GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:

Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.

GatherMate2_Data

GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.

While Gathermate now logs Maplewood Treasure Chest and Dark Iron Treasure Chest, the data doesn't include information on them. The only ones that are logged are the ones I've found.

Also, can you make the icon the red one that other chests use? This one is harder to see.

EDIT: Now it's gone completely on all my chars sigh

Is there a command line I can type into the chat bar to get it up?

I have active toons on 4 servers. I use Gathermate on all of them, I haven't disabled or turned it off in any of my add-on settings but I can't access Gathermate2 settings in the Interface /Add-ons Tab on some of my toons for about a week. The toons it no longer appears on are randomly scattered across factions & servers

I've already tried reinstalling it, Did a WoW repair, cleared my cache, Not getting any errors on log-in. Haven't added any new add-ons, tho I've uninstalled a couple.

Any ideas?

Also the tracking circle appears in some zones and not in others.

EDIT: Ignore my jibberish. I realised FuBar has been discontinued and I found Bazooka, and everything works great!

GatherMate2 (among others) breaks FuBar 3.6

Clicking the Plus [+] button does not allow the category list to appear. Soon as GatherMate2 is disabled, FuBar Options work again.

I have tested with just these 2 addons installed. Not sure if the fault lies with GatherMate2 or FuBar 3.6, but this seems a good place to start. :)

I'm trying to get Gathermate_Share to share the nodes while my mate and I are doing Archeology. I've tried leaving it on guild and tried party channels. Is there anything I need be doing to activate the sharing function? Anything that need be tweaked? Thanks kindly.

minimap - on my rogue50 i get the fishin nodes but on my priest68 they dont show up. also on my priest i dont get the twinkle stars above the pools/schools of fish

Any chance of adding the various raptor nests to the list of 'treasure'? Would be very handy now that the pets drop from the nests, not the rares.

Is there any chance of adding the raptor nests (that you 'open' to get companion pets) to the list of 'treasure' nodes? This would be very handy.

I tried registering at WoWAce but could not do so (some sort of 'bad request' error).

Thanks for a fantastic add-on. I know there is a way to bind a key to toggle GatherMate2's display in the minimap. Is there any way to the same for the worldmap? Also, are there any slash-commands to do these functions so I can include them in macros? If not, could you please consider adding them? Thank you.

I have a question about this. It's a simple question. When I'm mining I use GatherMate2, GatherMate2 Date, and Routes. This works very well and creates the routes I need. However, when it builds the nodes and the paths there are many that aren't actually accurate. IE: 200 Copper Veins but in reality there only ends up being like 70. So I have to go through and edit the map and it's a pain. My question is, do you think that those veins are inaccurately placed by the makers of gathermate? Or if the veins are in fact there, but have been previously mined by someone else recently and haven't respawned yet? How long do minerals take to respawn?

Thanks maybe it wasn't as simple of a question. Any feedback/answers would be greatly appreciated!

It shows all POSSIBLE node locations based on the dataset you are working with.

The only way you can know if a node is spawned or not is by getting within that 80 yard range or whatever it is and then the server will tell you if it's there or not.

Assuming a node is invalid because you have not seen it spawn yet does not mean the nodes does not exist. Chances are some nodes you may never see spawn.

This is not entirely accurate but it gives you a general idea of how it works. As it works a group of nodes are tied together and only like 1 out of that group can spawn at a time. when the timer resets another random node from that group will spawn.

Isn't it possible to enter a preset for routes? could save you alot of time especially since you dont understand how nodes work. This will guarantee you an increase in production when farming nodes.
