GnomeWorks TradeSkill Frame -
a complete replacement for the blizzard trade skill frame.
Each herb requires a minimum inscription skill to mill: Herb Skill Cinderbloom 425 Stormvine 425 Azshara’s Veil 450 Heartblossom 450 Whiptail 475 Twilight Jasmine 475 Deathspore Pod 500
Just like in WoTLK, there are higher end herbs and lower level herbs that give different amounts of Ashen Pigments (Blackfallow Ink) and Burning Embers (Inferno Ink): Herb Ashen Pigment Per Mill Burning Embers per Mill Blackfallow Inks Per Stack Inferno Inks Per Stack Cinderbloom 2.5 0.25 5 0.5 Stormvine 2.5 0.25 5 0.5 Azshara’s Veil 2.5 0.25 5 0.5 Heartblossom 2.5 0.25 5 0.5 Whiptail 3 0.5 6 1 Twilight Jasmine 3 0.5 6 1 Deathspore Pod 3 0.5 6 1
Sorry for the long delay. The items are a mess, as you will see from my screenshots.
As for how I buy inks, I buy them via the shopping list. I have 2 screenshots, one is how much I needed, then I bought all the ink it told me to via the vendor, then suddenly the ink I needed from the vendor repopulated itself.
I put some print() calls in various places... it seems like GnomeWorks gets loaded and runs its initial code, which should register for ADDON_LOADED events. But it never receives the event. If I hack some *other* addon to stay registered for ADDON_LOADED and print every event it sees, that other addon *does* see ADDON_LOADED for GnomeWorks. So the event is generated, it just doesn't get to the GnomeWorks callback.
That about exhausts my ability to debug addons. For now I can successfully work around the issue by editing the .toc file and disabling AddonLoader support.
This really isn't feeling like a GnomeWorks bug at this point, but I figured I'd report my results just in case it helps you.
Two things:
1. Create All no longer works. I can just type the number in and click create but Create All is easier.
2. Is there a way to refresh the list of what recipes I know without closing and reopening it? When I'm leveling, I have to open and close the window quite a bit as I learn each recipe.
has no effect and produces no output. Very odd that this combination works for you guys and not me... some kind of 3-way interaction?
I just reconfirmed that if I disable Mapster (and nothing else) in my addons list and then log in, Gnomeworks operates normally. If I then reenable Mapster, Gnomeworks stops working.
I'll go through some of the other addons I've installed or updated recently to see if disabling them makes a difference.
Actually, we should compare Mapster versions... are you running 1.4.0?
EDIT: In case this helps... I *do* see the message "AddonLoader: Loading GnomeWorks". What I don't get is the purple message that usually follows (from GnomeWorks itself).
Also, I've tried removing my Mapster and GnomeWorks SavedVariables, but that doesn't help.
see if that works. i use mapster as well and have not problems. the only time gw doesn't load is if i turn off addonloader during a play session (it's a bug with loadmanagers).
yoshimo, it's possible that you learned about volatile life's as a reagent after your last session with those other toons. gw learns which reagents to track based on the scanned recipes. you can scan "all recipes" to force it to learn all reagents or you can just scan your own recipes and it'll learn as it goes. see if logging into those toons and then back to your crafter helps... altho, it occurs to me that maybe a recent optimization might be affecting things.
miser, yeah i had sort of ignored that for now. but i suppose i should incorporate skill modifiers. anybody know how tradeskill guild perks work? do recipes stay green forever if you have a 10% bonus? or do gray recipes not count? or does it not change the color?
Gnomeworks seems to have a compatibility issue with Mapster. Once Mapster is installed, the Gnomeworks initialization message no longer appears when my UI loads, and the default Blizzard tradeskill UI opens instead of Gnomeworks. I've looked at the libraries for both addons but they seem to be in sync for those libraries they share (based on directory names in the lib subdir). Guess I don't know enough to debug further.
Problem exists with Mapster 1.40, Gnomeworks r96,r97,r98.
I qued flasks of wind and titanic strength and gnomeworks says im missing the 274 volatile life required, and prints the item in red, although my characters have 451 volatile life in stock.
Also it would be nice if the raw materials in the queue window had their "tooltip" so i can check even more easily how many my bags have, bagnon does that
A small bug: the skill up chance does not respect racial bonuses correctly.
If say a gnome engineer with 500 skill crafts something, he will get skill ups as though he had only 485 points. GnomeWorks however shows lower chances, like a non-gnome would have at 500 points.
bowlam, yeah, it still remembers the old vendor conversion. you have to clear it manually at the moment. maybe i need a scheme to re-learn conversions...
R98 is still using Ink of the Sea for its calculations to generate the various inks for Inscription. It should be using Blackfallow ink. ie to buy 1 Lions Ink it is saying I need 1 Ink of the Sea instead of saying I need 1 Blackfallow Ink
what do you mean the amounts don't match up? is gw telling you to buy too many/too few items?
how are you buying inks from the vendor? the vendor breakdown in the shopping list or via the process button? the process button only buys a single stack at most, so in that case you would need to buy multiple times.
i agree that there needs to be more/better information about your queue somewhere. i'm trying to figure out what information is best and how to represent it. i also plan on having a means to disable the auction inventory matching so that gw would just assume you can buy anything you need at the ah. then anything listed under auction would be stuff you still need vs stuff you already have.
hmm.... it just occured to me that maybe the vendor conversion items are messing with the auction system. i don't actually have two different sources for items when it comes to purchase. i have "purchase" and usually an item either comes from the vendor or it doesn't. vendor conversion items transcend this system since they come from the auction and from the vendor in limited quantities. i'm honestly not sure how gw handles this internally. this could be a problem...
edit: nevermind. vendor conversion items are actually recipes in the queue and are just added to the vendor list when it constructs the shopping list... no problem there.
If I am missing something I am sorry. However, is it possible to make the shopping list easier to understand? I have queued up a ton of glyphs and it has a long list of things that I need to buy from both the vendor via conversion and from the AH, but the amounts don't match up. Also, when I buy inks via the vendor then it tells me I need more of the same ink.
Is it possible to just have the shopping list ignore the auction house, and maybe just tell me how many of each ink I need in total and let me do the math on what I need to buy via the auction house or vendor?
If this has been answered somewhere else, or there is something I am missing I am sorry and would love to be pointed in the right direction.
shocker, does the dead space in ui move if you move the queue frame?
i'll see what i broke with the create all functionality...
oddible, you can click on the submenu itself to select it. if you mouse-over the "By Category" entry, it will bring up a submenu with all the categories. you can select one from that list or just select the "By Category" entry on the parent menu. people don't expect to see clickable/selectable submenu headers i guess.
you can sort most columns by clicking on their headers. lsw columns support sorting.
what do you mean that firebloom and purple lotus aren't picked up for milling? you mean you've queued up inscriptions that need ink that needs violet pigment and you aren't given the option to mill firebloom or purple lotus or that they aren't automatically selected? gw attempts to select based on availability and auction price, tho it's sometimes wrong. :(
hevreka, i'll go over those numbers and get that data into the system as soon as i can. the numbers are drop rates. so if you mill 100 herbs (20 millings of 5 each) and get 60 common pigments and 5 rare pigments, that's a drop rate of 3.0 (60/20) for common and .25 (5/20) for rare pigments.
yoshimo, gw should find the items without assistance. what did it tell you when you queued up the items and what did you have to do to tell it where the stuff was?
i queued up a few elixirs and flasks and the materials are stored in three different places, bank, bags and my alt-char. Is there a way to let the queue say "im green, we have all required stuff, 20 in your bags, 40 in your alts bags, the final 10 in your bank"? right now i somehow need to tell it gnomeworks my own, where the stuff is
Milling numbers are picked from Wowhead so they Can be right and they can be slightly off.
Prospecting well numbers are allsow picked from wowhead I haven't tried these so all bets are off
I think plp would be glad to know and get the function to mill/prospect with GW again with new Herb/Ore But as Prices are a bit high for me to try. I would like to get some input from some that has the time and (gold ingame or Skill to farm mats to do this).
The numbers are they in Procent, amount or ???? in the file Lilsparky.
Thx For Info Subxero
I Will add that to the milling.lua i have in my ticket for LS to dubble check and get in =)
Regards Hev
