MrTrader
MrTrader is a Tradeskill window replacement, with additional features to streamline how you interact with others for your tradeskills, especially if you have alts. Browse all your tradeskills from any character on the same server, link them just as easily to others, and even allow others to ask for a tradeskill link without having to do anything on your part.
Core Features:
- Tradeskill Window Replacement
- Difficulty Filtering
- Custom Collections
- Context Menus
- Auction House-style Filter Browsing
- Auto-Responses in chat to link requests using '!full' or '!link'.
- Supports Guild, Raid, and Whispers.
- Fully configurable, with privacy-friendly defaults.
- Server-Wide Tradeskill Access (requires a LibDataBroker display)
- One-menu access to your tradeskills.
- Link any tradeskill you know, or your alts know.
- Browse any tradeskill you know, or your alts know.
- Browse your guild's tradeskills without having to dig through the guild roster window.
LibDataBroker displays like Fortress or TitanPanel are required for the Tradeskill Access menu feature. I personally like TitanPanel, but any of them will work.

Note: I have been on break from WoW, and would be happy to pass the reins onto someone who is interested in running with the project. I can catch them up to speed on where things were going and share some prototypes I was playing with before I went on break. Contact me if interested.
Did it happen to start with a specific update of either MrTrader or Akis? Are you using the main release builds or the beta builds of 0.6?
I hope to see this addon updated again soon with fixes the the previously mentioned bug. I miss it so much kolenka!
I can't believe I didn't run into this sooner. There is a bug in MrTrader here. The original Tradeskill Addon (Blizz's) still runs in the background. There are a couple things that cause it to stop any current crafting action. So the fix is to block a little more of the original addon than I have in the past. I'll be pushing out the fix for this ASAP.
However if I do: !link cooking
I get lists for Character 1, Character 2, Character 3. Now Character 1 has 100% of the recipes, so is there anyway I can just link that specific character?
I've also noticed it won't send anything to anyone on your RealID list (I assume it's not monitoring the channel)
Likin the look of this one, Always been a fan of Skillet, specailly as I can check at a glance on what I can craft for some fast profit.
Is there any plans to make the mrtrader movable so it can be open together with the AH window
0.6 will be breaking support with LSW for example, and I plan on trying to implement some sort of profit estimation in the UI itself. That or I'll need to update the LSW plugin to integrate a bit better with the new UI.
For the few people who follow this, I've been working on the next version of the tradeskill UI. It pushes to try to carry the concept introduced in 0.5 a bit further. The detail view is gone, but all the information is still available, right there. The idea behind 0.6 is bringing as much information to the user at a glance as possible, and reducing the number of clicks required to get that information.
That was very weird, I could have sworn things were working there. Turns out some small cleanup work I did broke somewhere, even though it was working fine in my development branch (where I'm playing with a new UI which is horribly rough around the edges right now, visually, but very promising if I can clean it up).
Fix should be out.
Hi kolenka,
thanks for your hard work, I really love your addon... if MrTrader wouldn't exist I would have to switch through 7 Chars sometimes just to post someone my Profession. ^^
Btw. I believe I found a bug in the new version. I opened a ticket with the whole error-message in it because it's a pretty long one. :D
So long
Took a bit longer than I hoped to fix. I thought to myself, "Why not just use the changes that the official UI made?"
Problem was, that the fix they made doesn't seem to work right either. Some weird interaction with other addons or something, but linking just didn't work for me, even using the official tradeskill window. Had to come up with something completely different.
But 0.5.11 should be up soon with the fix.
Thanks a lot, love this addon! :-)
A lot of addons that use the chat frame broke with 3.3.5.
Looks like they changed things up with what works and what doesn't. I'm looking into it. :)
Since Patch 3.3.5 I got an error message everytime I link my profession per whisper to someone. Here's the error message:
Date: 2010-07-02 22:41:37 ID: 1 Error occured in: Global Count: 1 Message: ..\AddOns\MrTrader\TradeskillMenu.lua line 179: attempt to index global 'ChatFrameEditBox' (a nil value) Debug: [C]: ? MrTrader\TradeskillMenu.lua:179: OpenLink() MrTrader\TradeskillMenu.lua:80: func() ..\FrameXML\UIDropDownMenu.lua:583: UIDropDownMenuButton_OnClick() [string "*:OnClick"]:1: [string "*:OnClick"]:1
fostot, go ahead and try it again. I've not seen the bug in a couple months, and again without any updated code.
The code I use to kick off crafting is IDENTICAL to the default tradeskill window, so the only thing I can think of is a weird client/server interaction bug that should have affected pretty much all addons equally.
I hope to see this addon updated again soon with fixes the the previously mentioned bug. I miss it so much kolenka!
