Talented adds spec templates to the Talent UI.
Talented 3
Talented is getting a large update for wow 4. It will no longer replace the default UI but add a new Tab to it, with most of the previous functionality present.
There is an alpha release available on wowace. It's still missing some major parts, but it should give you an idea of the new interface.
Talented_Loader is no longer needed (and in fact will create problems if left installed, so remove it at once).
Update feature List
- Create and view templates for all classes and all pet types.
- Set a specific template as a target, and see it when you're spending your next talent point on level up.
- Apply complete templates with a single click, after a talent wipe.
- Hunters can view the spec of their pet and apply templates to them.
- Share your current build with other, or any template you've made.
- Import templates directly from the Blizzard Talent calculator, wowhead or wowdb.
- Export templates as URL to wowhead, wowdb or the Blizzard Talent calculator.
- Allow pet templates to be imported from and export to wowhead pet calculator.
- Inspection of other characters will also inspect their alternate spec, if they have one.
- A macro command /talented apply <template> allows to automatically apply a template based on its name.
With the advent of the Curse Client, a LOT of users now use auto-updaters. I myself suddenly found myself with a copy that's "PTR-only" (I have mine set to download Beta quality though, so that's my own problem.)
The Beta version made it into WowMatrix, so anyone who updated recently is going to see errors like Josaline. I don't know if that can be fixed on your end without a major headache, but I know a lot of users would appreciate it.
I wish automated tools like WowMatrix could be a little bit smarter and maybe have the ability to detect a PTR-ONLY flag (which I'm sure Curse and others would implement in a heartbeat).
again... /sigh
I have no plan to make a release that is both compatible with 3.0 and 3.1 (live and PTR). I have no plan to make a new release for 3.0 (1.9.6c will be the last one).
If you have an automatic updater that install 2.0 on live, look at alternative updater. That's my advice.
The extent of changes is significant, and without tests it's pretty much bound to be a failed release.
It's tagged beta, it's the only thing I can do with curse at the moment. Don't blame me, blame the updaters.

View pet spec is grey, even if i have a pet at my side.
So i can not see the spec of my pet.
With the glyphen tab i can open the glyphen frame but i canot close it with a click on it.
@woolie: Open a ticket if it occurs with the 2.0 alpha. Please report class and locale.
I enable talented in my addons but once i load in game it gets automatically disabled and does not work in game, when i log out to check it the tick has been removed
EDIT
forgot to add this was on PTR with latest trunk
It will allow to view and switch to the alternate spec.
It will include a working glyph UI.
It will allow to view the pet talents, allow to create pet talents, and will allow to apply theses talents to your pet.
Template applications will be instantaneous.
If not, reopen http://www.wowace.com/projects/talented/tickets/31-conflict-with-cowtip-concerning-tooltips/ and provide details about the version of CowTip you're using.
