RaidChecklist
RaidChecklist
RaidChecklist provides an at-a-glance overview of which core buffs, debuffs, dispels and crowd control abilities are available in the raid at the moment, and what class/spec/pet could bring each.
It doesn't try to be a full-featured raid planner, but is instead targeted at those who want a more casual add-on which can assist them in putting together a balanced raid on the fly. It is also very useful for hunters wanting to pick a pet to fill a void in the abilities otherwise brought by the group.
RaidChecklist comes with a plethora of different checklists, and has checklists for each and every class, with multiple options on what to include. Check out the configuration screen for the full list!
There's also a built-in F.A.Q. page available from the add-on settings menu, hopefully answering the common questions and explaining the different colors and icons.
News
6.1.2.0
- Spirit Beast entry updated to also provide Crit.
6.0.3.3 - 6.0.3.4
- Minor ability/talent correction.
6.0.3.2
- Corrected a few abilities/talents.
- Now treating the Hunter 'Lone Wolf' talent separately. This talent provides a choice of all the main buffs, but RaidChecklist has no way knowing which buff (if any) has been chosen. To deal with this dilemma, if you're playing a hunter and have 'Lone Wolf' talented, the potential buffs will show in blue ("may provide") rather than green ("provides"). For hunter group members, by default RCL filters out the 'Lone Wolf' talent altogether to avoid claiming that all the buffs are provided. This latter behavior can be changed with the config option 'Exclude Lone Wolf', if you prefer to use the old behavior. The only way to resolve this fully would be to make RaidChecklist scan for buffs, which is far too large a project for me to undertake given I haven't played WoW since early Cataclysm.
6.0.3.1
- Minor database updates.
6.0.0.1
- Warlords of Draenor / 6.0.2 update. This includes a number of changes to handle the internal game changes made by Blizzard, and a metric truck-ton of database updates.
- Some languages do not have full compatibility support yet. If you can help with translations, either do so directly at project localization page, or just drop me a message here on Curse and I'll fill it in.
- If I've missed any changes, please open a ticket to let me know.
- Note: the mage "Improved Flamestrike" perk is recorded in RaidCheclist as being level 100, though it can, depending on RNG, be available as early as level 92. I don't have a good way to address that, sorry.
Features
- Compact display in color-coded list format.
- Shows a count for each ability where it's provided by more than one player, giving even better overview with even a quick glance.
- Mouse-over an entry brings up tooltip with information on what classes/specs/pets can bring the (de)buff.
- Clicking an entry opens a detailed information panel on the abilities for that entry.
- Ability to specify which groups to include in the check, while still seeing what the excluded groups could bring.
- Hides behind a freely movable button when not wanted.
- DataBroker integration, and an option to hide the normal button.
- Keybinding and chat commands (/rcl or /raidchecklist) to toggle the checklist.
- Updates automatically as pets are summoned or dismissed.
- Inspects group members "in the background" to obtain their talent information without needing any player interaction.
- Option to specify in which direction the list appears relative to the button. E.g. "Up, Left" or "Down, Right".
- Since it's not possible to automatically keep talents/spec/glyphs up-to-date sensibly, RaidChecklist has a small "rescan" button in the top right corner of the checklist.
- Notifies other RaidChecklist users of any player specialization/talent/glyph changes. This is done in the LibGroupInSpecT library, which is available for other addons to use as well. While Blizzard provides no way of detecting these changes on other players, any user of an addon with LibGroupInSpecT will have this feature! For other players, there is always the manual "rescan" button.
Class-specific Features
- Per-class check-lists are available, showing only the abilities of that class. Use either for personal improvement, or as the raid leader to remind yourself of what abilities a particular class would bring.
- Hunter & Warlock Pet Mode. For the hunters and warlocks who don't have to worry about full raid composition and only want to make a smart pet choice. Only shows the abilities which can be provided by a pet.
- Also aware of a hunter's callable pets, not just the summoned one. Abilities available only from a callable pet are marked in blue. This is only applicable to the hunter himself/herself - this information is not shared to other users of RaidChecklist. To activate this feature you need to visit a stable master once.
Supported Locales
- enUS - Fully supported.
- ruRU - Fully supported.
- koKR - Fully supported.
- deDE - Functional.
- frFR - Functional.
- esES - Functional.
If you can help with translations, head over to the project localization page.
Known issues
- Talent/spec information can go stale, as the game provides no notification when a group member re/un/talents. Use the "rescan" button to force a refresh.
Found a bug?
If you've found a bug that isn't listed here as a known issue, please open a ticket with the details. The notifications for comments on Curse aren't as reliable as a ticket, so I might not see it for some time (if all).
Any alternatives?
Will there be an update for Legion? I love this AddOn so much. Everything you need to know about your comp and more, all in one place.
At this point it's looking unlikely, I'm afraid. I haven't played WoW since early Cataclysm days and I am now (overly) busy with other things. If someone wishes to take over maintenance I'm more than happy to hand over though.
I'll do it. What do you need from me?
this addon clashes with elvui shadow&light inspect
when i try to inspect other people it shows up like this
http://puu.sh/iOT5i/6beced7718.jpg
never happend but after 6.2 it showed up like this
One of my favorite addons on Curse, so simple yet so useful!
i have noticed that the checklist is not correctly picking up the buff for lone wolf: ferocity of the raptor, i had to keep asking someone to buff because the checklist didnt show that i had the crit buff active
'nother one for ye. The addon is claiming that versatility is provided by both "Deathknight" and "Deathknight (Unholy)", causing it to list Blood DKs as providing it. Versatility is only provided by Frost and Unholy DKs, not Blood.
Mea culpa - the entry in the database said "frost", but it really needed to say "frostdk". Fixed now. Thanks for reporting <3
Seems to be erroneously claiming that all monks bring Multistrike, when in fact only Windwalker monks do.
Fixed! Thanks for reporting!
Hey, a feature request. Given that hunters can provide *any* of the buffs, could you add a feature that shows buffs only provided by party/raid members, *not* yourself? That way I can use the addon as a way of evaluating which buff I should be providing based on what everyone else can provide?
It basically already does this. The buffs you bring all have a little flag next to them. The ones that others bring do not. That way, you can see which are grey in the interface and try to bring those and, once you've got the grey ones covered, you want to summon the pet that turns a blue buff green. The ones that you already have access to from others will already be green.
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but with Lone Wolf speced, *all* of them show up green with a flag. I get a number beside the ones that other party members can provide, but it doesn't really give me the at-a-glance identification of which buff I should be using.
Based on the color codes in the FAQ page, gray indicates that no one is providing a buff, green that someone is providing it, and blue that someone is providing it but is in a filtered group.
However, with just myself (Lone Wolf MM hunter), ungrouped in my Garrison with no buffs except my innate AP buff and Lone Wolf: Ferocity of the Raptor, the list shows all 9 buffs green with a flag, Bloodlust/Heroism and Combat Rez blue with a flag (both of which I can provide with a pet summon that I have on hand, so blue makes sense), and Dispels and Soothes as green, which I provide innately.
So the Dispels and Support sections show as I would tend to expect, but the buffs section seems to be implying that I can provide all 8 buffs at once, which isn't the case.
That's why I ask for it to exclude me (or filter me, if you prefer to to show blue instead of grey), so I can see what the group provides on buffs before I'm factored in, so I can make a proper decision on which Lone Wolf buff to use.
You raise an excellent point here. Blizzard really messed with RaidChecklist's concept when they included the Lone Wolf talent. After thinking through the various options I've settled on the following:
If you're a hunter with the Lone Wolf talent, those potential buffs will only be marked in blue from the talent (an active pet might make it green, as can other group/raid members). For other hunters in the group/raid, I filter out the Lone Wolf talent to stop it from "contaminating" the raid check list. As you point out, a hunter can't provide *all* the buffs, so having RCL claim that is clearly wrong. Of course, ignoring a raid member's Lone Wolf talent is also wrong, but at least a bit less so to my mind. Since both these options are wrong, you can, if you so choose, go back to the behaviour where a Lone Wolf member will flag all buffs green by toggling the new config option 'Exclude Lone Wolf.
I feel this is the best I can do. The only way I see to fully fix this would be to scan for active buffs, but that's well beyond the scope of RCL, alas.
Anyway, give 6.0.3.2 a spin and see if you like the new behavior.
Definitely an improvement, does exactly what I need it to do now. Thanks for the update!
I noticed last night that it wasn't indicating that it didn't indicate priests as bringing the Haste and Multistrike buffs: http://www.wowhead.com/spell=49868/mind-quickening
Is this the best place to note bugs like this? Thanks for all your hard work; this is a can't-play-without-it sort of add on for me!
Here typically works, provided Curse actually sends the email notification. You can also use the "open a ticket" link in the description above. That should definitely get me poked.
I've added Mind Quickening now - thanks for pointing it out!
The list is erroneously reporting that Hunters cannot provide Stamina, Multistrike, or Versatility with Lone Wolf. That talent gives them an ability for any of the 8 primary raid buffs (plus their passive AP buff). The relevant spells are:
Lone Wolf: Quickness of the Dragonhawk (Multistrike, Spell ID 172968)
Lone Wolf: Versatility of the Ravager (Versatility, Spell ID 172967)
Lone Wolf: Fortitude of the Bear (Stamina, Spell ID 160199)
Fixed! Thanks for reporting!
