Sweetsour's Shaman Auras
Sweetsour's Shaman Auras
Introduction
Like myself, I know there's a lot of people that enjoy the functionality that Weak Auras has to offer; in fact, some of you may remember the Shaman Weak Auras package I offered. Though, the one downside with Weak Auras when dealing with larger packages is multiple import strings and a somewhat sloppy installation process. In light of this, I've decided to make the whole process much easier for the end-user and offer a solution that has is far easier than having to setup a large Weak Auras package.
The addon has evolved from Weak Auras, so it has that familiar feel that you're used to. Thanks to thousands of users testing the addon, it has become something far greater than I originally expected!
How to Use
This addon has been designed to provide a high-level of customization, in terms of aura layout. It's a very simple process and can be achieved by doing the following.
- /ssa - Access "Home" window in Interface Options
- /ssa ele - Access Elemental customization options
- /ssa enh - Access Enhancement customization options
- /ssa res - Access Restoration customization options
Moving Frames
One of the most requested features was the implementation of being able to move all of the frames. It's very simple to do!
- Type "/ssa <spec>".
- Click the "Layout" tab.
- Click the "Move <spec> auras" button to open the aura movement utility.
- A grid will appear and the auras will become moveable.
"Sweetsour's Shaman Auras 2" is now live!
Please keep in mind that this is an alpha release, so expect bugs to occur.

Developer Update - October 25, 2018
Sadly, I won't be able to release the alpha today. Some stuff came up IRL and took away some valuable time to work on the addon. I got some stuff done with it, but I still need a bit more time. I really want to release it, but I know I can't rush it. I may try to get it finished tonight before going to bed, but I'm starting to feel burnt out and may take a break for the rest of the evening. Either way, I'm going to try my best to get this released before I leave for BlizzCon!
Will keep tapping F5

Developer Update: October 24, 2018
I've been going full tilt with SSA2 the past few days because I want to get the alpha live before I leave to BlizzCon, but I'm trying my best not to rush it to make sure it's the smoothest experience possible. But from my experience with coding, that's hardly ever the case :P. Anyway, I'm going to try and get the alpha for SSA2 live tomorrow at the latest! Here's hoping I can actually do it and that nothing sneaks up on me and causes me to delay the release further.
If any of you are heading to BlizzCon, I'd be happy to meet up with any of you, just shoot me a message. I'm bringing business cards that I'd be happy to hand out! :D
Developer Update: October 15, 2018
It's really close, everyone! I've completed the new glow functionality integration for Resto and am currently working through Enhancement. Once I'm done adding the glow functionality to all three specs, I'll do some bug checks and once cleared, I'll be rolling out an alpha version to allow people to test what's currently in place! This way, I can work on some other functionality while we can get some much-needed testing done :)
My anticipation is getting very high now, cannot wait any longer as my anticipation is killing me, gimme SSA2 NOW:))

Developer Update: September 22, 2018
I think I finally got the new timer bar system complete! Definitely took longer than originally expected, but I added some new functionality, like having the bars disappear when you or an enemy remove an aura/buff, or when you manually destroy a totem.
What's Left?
Hey Sweet,
Not rushing you or anyhting as i cannot imagine what is involved on doing this project but any idea on a release date on the new updated version?
My fingers are twitching in anticipation:)
All the best
Jay

Hey Sweet,
Really looking forward to the update, watched the video and looks very promising:)
Is there a chance with the update that all bars, i.e casting bar, maelstrom bar etc etc can have borders that are adjustable in size, i.e thickness?
Just trying to duplicate your bars to be the same as quartz.
Also i don't know why but i could never get the width of the casting bar to be the exact same width as the maelstrom bar and vice versa no matter what i tried, they was always out by about 0.5mm of each other.

I also am not seeing flametongue and crash lightning progress bars, also only seeing spirit walk. Thnks
edit: ascendance and astral shift are also showing. This is for enhancement only.

Hey Sweetsour, first of thanks for the nice addon, ive been using it for quite some time!
But i just reinstalled wow / addons after taking a break from Wow up until BFA, and now i have a problem that i can't seem to get the very handy buff timer bars to show (flametongue and frostbrand duration remaining in particular) , the only one that shows as a bar with timer still is Spirit Walk!
Im using Elvui, and i tried disabling that, to check if that was interfering with the addon, and i also tried doing a fresh install, i hope u migh have an idea of whats causing this.
Thanks in advance!
