Heal Organizer
This add-on helps organizing the healers in your raid by allowing the user to drag and drop healers into different assignments. Assignments can be as complex or simple as the user wishes.
= Quick Start =
- Open Heal Organizer by using the slash command: /healorganizer, /hlorg, or /ho
- Click on the default assignments (%MT1%, %MT2%, …etc) to change wording
- Drag and drop healers into assignments
- Optionally enable whispering assignments by clicking “Whisper healers…”
- Click “Raid”/”Channel” in the “Broadcast” section to publish the healing assignments.
= Usage =
- Assignments can use %MT1% through %MT10% as replacement strings for main tank names. Main tanks can be set via CT_Raid enabled add-ons like Ora2.
- Any unassigned healer automatically takes on the “Remaining” assignment, but will not be whispered.
- There is a key binding registered under the WoW standard key binding interface. (Press ESC => Keybindings, to bring it up).
= Autofill =
Hover over an empty slot and use your mouse wheel. It will cycle through the following labels:
- Empty
- Priest
- Druid
- Paladin/Shaman
= Saving Sets =
You can define 30 sets which can be saved, loaded and deleted. Each set saves the assignment text and class for each assignment. It does not save the healers’ names as players are likely to change between raids.
= Slash Commands =
/ho dialog
This will open the heal organizer dialogue. This can be used in a macro or you can just setup a key binding via the standard WoW key binding interface (ESC => Keybindings, look near the end).
/ho autosort
This option toggles whether players will be sorted by class/name within groups. This is only useful if the order you assign healers denotes things like backup healers or secondary healers.
= SVN/Contributing =
Contributions/suggestions are always welcome, but it doesn’t mean I will always use/implement them. Please feel free to contact me! For source contributions please provide a diff.

Feature wanted : add the ability to broacast who buff who. This should perhaps be another addon, due to mage buff, but based on the nearly same UI...
With 4 MTs and 8 Healers you cannot proper setup Garr. But you can change the labels of the group, just click on them.
What occurred to me, a suggestion: You have currently 8 tanks, each 4 healer spots. You could do a "switch" or tab of some kind that had 4 tanks, each 8 healer spots.
MT1: 4 healers MT2: 4 healers MT3: 4 healers MT4: 4 healers MT5: 4 healers MT6: 4 healers MT7: 4 healers MT8: 4 healers
could be switched to
MT1: 8 healers MT2: 8 healers MT3: 8 healers MT4: 8 healers
It would then use the same amount of space on screen and wouldn't screw up the layout
My first idea of the reset-button is "okay, the next boss is coming. Reset all labels and groups, i'll do the next heal-arrangement". But I guess I have see an error about parting/leaving/moving raidmembers. I use the Raid-IDs (raid1-raid40) to determine which group he belongs to (["raid5"] = 9, User raid5 is now in group 9). As Wowwiki said this raidID doesn't change even if the player join/leave the raid. But If it does I must change something :(. I haven't test it to much. So the reset-button will read out every healer again, but this wasn't the first idea of this button. This is only an additional not intended feature.
Is the function that clears the people from the group slots when they are moved groups within the raid something that is done for a reason. Or just something that happens for how the healers in the raid are detected, so they reset back to the available frame?
I personaly find this to be bothersome as we move people around alot for naxx attempts and having to redo the entire healing settup when ever we switch the raid groups up is kind of tedious. It would be nice if possible, to have that feature fixed or implimented if it doesn't mess with the healer detection.
Btw, seriously loving this addon, great job.
Thanx Progman! Your little addon got really useful! I'am gonna use it from now on.
v0.7: label set management implemented
Yeah, I guess that is the obvious option to change MT1 and MT2 to be the name of the tank you want healed which would come out to 8. Just thought you should know that there are fights where 7+ healers are required on a tank.
yes i would also prefer 6-8 healer per tank
Great additions. Havent tested the 0.6 version yet but if you can change label of the group, LWKJs problem shouldnt exists, just change the label from MT2->MT1 and you have 8 slots
I thing 8 is to much, the dialog will getting huge with 8 slots per group (these are btw. 72 healers, you havent so much healers in a raid). But you can change the labels of the group and set the first two groups to "Heal MT1"
This is a great addon...but atm we need more slots per healer group...there are some fights like patchwerk that require groups of 8 healers on a tank and 5-7 on anouther, it would be nice to have this mod to use for that. So if you could expand it to 8 instead of 4 atm that would be great
check v0.6. The Set-Feature is the next thing i'll do. The function LoadLabelFromSet() already exists *g*
For the frFR localizations: There are 2 more Tokens and I need a localization of these.
You are my hero I love it!!!
added enUS localization and this should be the default-language
OK well that did not work deleting the language folders did not help it is still in German..... I really want to use the mod but If I cant read it I cant use it....
I don't believe u need to delete the other localization files if you want it in your language. AceLocale-2.1 should use the language it get from the client via the GetLocale() function. If it doesn't I got a problem...
I'll add the following things if I have time and knownledge:
I'll not add the following things:
Things I'm thinking about:
btw.: If I change the slot-limit from 3 to 4, is it enougth? Or are there healing-groups/bosses/encounter needed with more than 4 slots (only know the encounter in MC)? Dont get confused with the remains-group on the left, they got the 2 options "heal" and "decurse" seperately, you dont need an extra "decurse" group.
Go into the healorg folder and delete the files with frFR and deDE in them. Thats what i did.
as for using napolean. I tried using it. It was a bit confusing for me. I think for nap, there was just too much going on. This mod is perfect. Very minimalistic but would prefer just two more duties added on to it (shields and HOTs) cause that would make this just absolutly perfect. but i think the author has scrapped those ideas, none the less i still use this awsome mod
Oh... yes, if i can make one more suggestion. it would be nice if MT1 or MT2 and so would rather be identified by the tanks name. Maybe having MT1 or MT2 having a tank slot so we can drag a tank name into it and that tank is now identified as tank 1. Or instead of the tank slot maybe just have a Costumizable text box ("MT1" MT2" etc is the default name if the text box is kept blank) that we can use change into the actual tank name
I know this may sound stupid I DL a newer version of this last night but it is all in German and well I cant find a way to change it. Is there a way to put it into English??
